Naveen Akhtar is a dedicated academic and researcher in the field of Tourism and Hospitality
Management with diverse professional experience in teaching, program coordination, and community
development. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Tourism Management at Dongbei University, China,
and has previously completed her Master’s in Tourism Management from Dongbei University of Finance
and Economics. With extensive teaching experience at Karakoram International University (KIU), she
also serves as a program coordinator, actively contributing to academic, administrative, and
extracurricular initiatives. Beyond academia, Naveen has worked with the Aga Khan Rural Support
Program and other community-based projects, gaining hands-on experience in social mobilization,
project implementation, and capacity-building. Her international exposure includes academic exchange
programs in the United States and China, which have enriched her cross-cultural understanding and
research capabilities.
