The Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management is offering one of the flagship programs at KIU Hunza campus which will produce professional to cater the market’s need of hospitality sector. This degree program is one of the first programs of its kind in the entire region.
The objective of the program is to develop capacity of the different tiers of human resource of the region in the areas of hospitality and tourism management. The area offers unique opportunities of tourism and hospitality service in the post CPEC scenario as Hunza is gateway to the corridor. To its unique natural resources comprising glaciers, rivers, pastures, grassland, forests, minerals, wildlife, biodiversity in fauna and flora, Hunza is attracting a large number of national and international tourists every year. In current year about 2.0 million tourists have visited GB, out of which half have travelled Hunza and its associated valleys.
